Tie Breaking
Rules
|
[1] |
If two teams are tied with
identical records, the winner of the game between
the two teams gets the higher placement. |
|
[2] |
If three teams are tied for first
place, then the Run Differential Statistic in the
Canadian Tournament Guidelines will be used to determine
which team gets first place. The two remaining teams will
play a game to determine which team finishes in second place. |
|
[3] |
If three teams are tied for
second place, the Run Differential Statistic in the Canadian
Tournament Guidelines will be used to determine which team is the
second place team. |
Canadian Tournament
Guidelines - Run Differential Statistic
|
The total number of runs given up
divided by the number of innings played on defence, is
computed for each of the three teams involved in the tie,
based on the won-loss records in games involving only the
three teams. |
