This month, Canada Post
will make available this commemorative stamp honoring Black
History Month & the accomplishments of Baseball Hall of
Famer, Ferguson Jenkins.
The proceeds from
purchasing these stamps will be distributed to various
charities supported by The
Ferguson Jenkins Foundation and to help promote Black
History Month in Canada.

On Thursday February 9th, 2011, Baseball Hall of Fame
pitcher for the Chicago Cubs, Ferguson Jenkins, gave a
presentation to Royal West Academy students concerning his
life, the Underground Railroad, and Canada Post's issuance
of a new stamp honoring his lifetime of achievements.
Special thanks goes to Terry Doucet for making all this
possible.
